Choosing a Theme for Your Wedding. Most people think that a wedding already has a theme, you are getting married. This is true, however having a theme can help make the decorations easier to devise and can help give the event a tone or feeling. The type of wedding you have is totally up to you; after all, it is your wedding. If you identify with a certain ethnicity then use that. Have the entire wedding party take dance tap dancing lessons or hip-hop, or hula lessons, what ever you like go with it and have fun. One theme I really like is a Mexican theme.
